IEC 61156-11:2023 is available as IEC 61156-11:2023 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition.IEC 61156-11:2023 describes cables intended to be used for single balanced pair (office, home, industrial) applications according to ISO/IEC 11801-1. An example of existing application is 1000BASE-T1, see ISO/IEC TR 11801-9906. The transmission characteristics of these cables are specified up to a frequency of 1,25 GHz and at a temperature of 20 °C. The T1-C type cable is specified up to 600 MHz, the T1-D type cable up to 1,25 GHz. Depending on the MICE environment and the installation conditions either unscreened or screened cables can be used. A blank detail specification can be found in Annex A.

The cables covered by this document are intended to operate with voltages and currents normally encountered in communication systems. While these cables are not intended to be used in conjunction with low impedance sources, for example the electric power supplies of public utility mains, they are intended to be used to support the delivery of low voltage remote powering applications including but not restricted to Power over Ethernet as specified in ISO/IEC/IEEE 8802-3.

IEC 61156-7:2023 specifies cables that can be used for various communication systems as well as for analogue systems, such as video, that exist or are under development and which may use as many as four pairs simultaneously. In this sense, this sectional specification provides the cable characteristics required by system developers to evaluate new systems as well as to enhance present systems. It covers a cable having four individually screened (S/FTP) pairs. The cable can be provided with a common screen over the cable core. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2003 and Amendment 1:2012. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a. align clauses with IEC 61156-1:2023;
b. remove the clause related to screening attenuation as it is no longer a test to be performed (replaced by coupling attenuation);
c. replace the IEC 62153-4-2 method (injection clamp) with IEC 61156-4-5 (absorbing clamp) for coupling attenuation measurement to be consistent with all other parts of the IEC 61156 series;
d. include IEC 62153-4-9 test method (triaxial) for coupling attenuation measurement to be consistent with all other parts of the IEC 61156 series;
e. incorporate the blank detail specification.

IEC 62807-3:2023 is a sectional specification for outdoor hybrid communication cables intended to be used externally in various applications. It specifies terms, definitions, symbols and abbreviated terms, the design and construction, rated values and characteristics, performance requirements and test methods, packaging and quality assurance.
Hybrid cables are designed for networks and customer premises cabling that transmit data, telecommunication, instrumentation, control and signalling services over optical fibres and/or broadband data over coaxial element, wire/pair/quad element and can have the option of supplying electrical current to a remote equipment.
In the IEC 62807 series, the current carrying elements are used only to supply power to the equipment within the communication network. They are not used for electricity distribution or transmission, nor for power supply to domestic appliances. The specific uses are defined in the relevant specification.
The relationship between each of the MICE classifications in ISO/IEC 11801-1, performance requirements and test methods of hybrid cables being proposed in a specific application are fully considered and aligned.

IEC TR 62222:2021 describes the test methods for various parameters relating to the reaction to fire properties of metallic and optical fibre communications cables. The parameters have particular importance for cables intended to be installed within buildings and other structures. IEC 61156-12:2021 describes cables intended to be used for transmission of 1 Gbit/s over a single twisted pair for office, home and industrial application. An example of an existing application is 1000BASE-T1; see ISO/IEC TR 11801-9906. The transmission characteristics of these cables are specified up to a frequency of 600 MHz and at a temperature of 20 °C. The cable type recognised is intended to be used for the work area wiring of shielded channels with a nominal length of 40 m. Possible designs are U/FTP, X/UTP and X/FTP, where X stands for F, S or SF.
The cables covered by this document are intended to operate with voltages and currents normally encountered in communication systems. While these cables are not intended to be used in conjunction with low impedance sources, e.g. the electric power supplies of public utility mains, they are intended to be used to support the delivery of low voltage remote powering applications.
