IEC TR 63222-100:2023, which is a Technical Report, collects relevant information on power quality impacts from, e.g., CIGRE reports, case studies, research findings, etc., in order to uncover the mechanisms of how electrical equipment/installations/system are impacted by power quality disturbances, as well as to fully understand the guidelines for power quality management. The contents of this document aim to help network operators, network users and equipment suppliers make rational investments and actively cooperate to manage power quality and keep it consistent with relevant EMC standards.

LVDC systems - Assessment of standard voltages and power quality requirements

IEC TR 63282:2020(E) collects information and reports experience in order to make recommendations for the standardization of voltage levels and related aspects (power quality, EMC, measurement …) for LVDC systems (systems with voltage level lower than 1 500 V d.c.).
Rationale for the proposed voltage values are given. Variation of parameters for the voltage (power quality) and recommendation for their boundaries are defined. Nevertheless, some of the technical items are not exhaustively explained in this document and some gaps are identified for future work.
Attention is paid to the definition of DC voltage.
Systems in which a unipolar voltage is interrupted periodically for certain purposes, e.g. pulse voltage, are not considered.

IEC 60038:2009 specifies standard voltage values which are intended to serve as preferential values for the nominal voltage of electrical supply systems, and as reference values for equipment and system design. This seventh edition supersedes the sixth edition (1993), its Amendment 1 (1994) and its Amendment 2 (1997). It constitutes a technical revision. The significant technical changes are:
- the addition of the values of 230 V (50 Hz) and 230/400 V (60 Hz) to Table 1;
- the replacement of the utilization voltage range at LV by a reference to the relevant standard and an informative annex;
- the addition of the value of 30 kV to Table 3;
- the replacement of the value of 1 050 kV by 1 100 kV in Table 5.
It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108

IEC 60196:2009(Main)
IEC standard frequencies

IEC 60196:2009 specifies the standard frequencies. The standard frequencies are the frequencies to be adopted for single-phase and three-phase a.c. systems, for installations in ships, for a.c. traction systems, for tools and for aircraft. This standardization is limited to frequencies up to 10 000 Hz. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1965. It constitutes a technical revision. The main change is the removal of the standard frequencies for the rayon industry. It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108.

IEC 61936-2:2023(Main)
Power installations exceeding 1 kV AC and 1,5 kV DC - Part 2: DC

IEC 61936-2:2023 provides, in a convenient form, requirements for the design and the erection of DC installations in systems with nominal voltages above 1,5 kV DC, so as to provide safety and proper functioning for the use intended.
For the purpose of interpreting this document, a DC installation is considered to be one of the following:
a) A converter station or DC switching station;
b) one (or more) DC generating or storage unit(s), such as solar farms or battery storage units, located on a single site, the DC installation includes DC equipment and cables with all associated power electronics, controlgear, switchgear and all electrical auxiliary systems. Connections between DC generating or storage units located on different sites are excluded;
c) DC installation erected on offshore facilities for the purpose of generation, transmission, distribution and/or storage of electricity; or
d) DC transition station (between overhead lines and underground cable or between different sections of underground cables).
This International Standard does not apply to the design and erection of any of the following:
- overhead and underground lines between separate installations;
- electric railways;
- mining equipment and installations;
i- installations on ships according to IEC 60092 series and offshore units according to IEC 61892 series, which are used in the offshore petroleum industry for drilling, processing and storage purposes;
- electrostatic equipment (e.g. electrostatic precipitators, spray-painting units);
- test sites;
- medical equipment, e.g. medical X-ray equipment;
- valve hall or converter hall.
This document does not apply to the requirements for carrying out live working on electrical installations.
This document does not apply to the design of factory-built, type-tested thyristor valves, VSC valves and switchgear for which separate IEC standards exist.
This first edition cancels and replaces the IEC TS 61936-2 published in 2015. This edition constitutes a technical revision.

Low-voltage electrical installations - Part 7-716: Requirements for special installations or locations – ELV DC power distribution over information and communications technology (ICT) cable infrastructure

IEC 60364-7-716:2023 specifies requirements in electrical installations for the distribution of ELV DC power using balanced, information technology cables and accessories primarily designed for data transmission, as specified in terms of a category within the channels of ISO/IEC 11801-1 using power sourcing equipment in accordance with IEC 62368-3.

This document does not apply to the use of cables and accessories within the core and access networks for example private branch exchange (PBX).
