Lightning protection system components (LPSC) - Part 5: Requirements for earth electrode inspection housings and earth electrode seals
IEC 62561-5:2023 is available as IEC 62561-5:2023 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition.IEC 62561-5:2023 specifies the requirements and tests for earth electrode inspection housings (earth housings) installed in the earth and for earth electrode seals. Lightning protection system components (LPSC) can also be suitable for use in hazardous atmospheres. For this reason, there are additional requirements when installing the components under such conditions. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2017. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) A classification of earth electrode seals has been added.

IEC 62561-5:2023 est disponible sous forme de IEC 62561-5:2023 RLV qui contient la Norme internationale et sa version Redline, illustrant les modifications du contenu technique depuis l'édition précédente.L'IEC 62561-5:2023 spécifie les exigences et les essais pour les regards de visite des électrodes de terre (regards de terre) installés dans le sol et pour les joints des électrodes de terre. Les composants des systèmes de protection contre la foudre (CSPF) peuvent aussi être employés dans des atmosphères dangereuses. Pour cette raison, il existe des exigences supplémentaires pour installer les composants dans de telles conditions. Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 2017. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: a) une classification des joints d'électrodes de terre a été ajoutée.

Ta del standarda IEC 62561 določa zahteve in preskuse za pregled ohišja ozemljil (ozemljitvena ohišja), ki so položena v zemljo, in za tesnila ozemljil.
Elementi sistema za zaščito pred strelo (LPSC) so lahko primerni tudi za uporabo v nevarnih ozračjih. Zaradi tega glede namestitve sestavnih delov v takih pogojih obstajajo dodatne zahteve.
OPOMBA: različne zahteve in preskusni postopki so navedeni v skupini standardov EN 124 [2] in skupini standardov EN 1253 [3].

protection" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as
EN IEC 62561-5:2024.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2024-10-09
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2027-01-09
document have to be withdrawn
This document supersedes EN 62561-5:2017 and all of its amendments and corrigenda (if any).
