Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Association (ISO 4351:2023)
This document gives the terminology and basic concepts of association, including objective functions and association constraints and material offset.
This document is not intended to specify association defaults and GPS syntax which are introduced in other (ISO GPS) International Standards.
NOTE The association can be used to establish for example:
— a datum;
— a reference feature for a geometrical specification or for a surface texture specification;
— an associated toleranced feature;
— any dimensional characteristic;
— an intersection plane, an orientation plane, a collection plane or a direction feature.

Dieses Dokument stellt die Terminologie und die grundlegenden Konzepte der Assoziation auf, einschließlich Zielfunktionen, Nebenbedingungen der Assoziation und Materialversatz.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht dafür vorgesehen, GPS-Syntax und Defaults für die Assoziation festzulegen; diese werden in anderen Internationalen (ISO GPS-)Normen eingeführt.
ANMERKUNG Die Assoziation kann verwendet werden beispielsweise zur Bestimmung:
- eines Bezugs;
- eines Referenzgeometrieelements für eine geometrische Spezifikation oder für eine Spezifikation der Oberflächenbeschaffenheit;
- eines assoziierten tolerierten Geometrieelements;
- aller maßlichen Merkmale;
- einer Schnittebene, einer Orientierungsebene, einer Kollektionsebene oder eines Richtungselements.

Le présent document n’est pas destiné à spécifier les paramètres par défaut des associations et la syntaxe GPS, qui sont introduits dans d’autres normes internationales (ISO GPS).
NOTE L’association peut être utilisée pour établir par exemple:
— une référence spécifiée;
— un élément d'évaluation pour une spécification géométrique ou pour une spécification d’état de surface;
— un élément tolérancé associé;

Ta dokument določa terminologijo in osnovne pojme za povezave, med njimi osnovne geometrijske operacije, kot so filtracija, ekstrakcija, delitev, konstrukcija, rekonstrukcija ali zbiranje.
OPOMBA: Povezava se lahko na primer uporabi za določitev podatka, določitev referenčnega elementa geometrijske specifikacije ali specifikacije teksture površine, za določitev dimenzijske lastnosti, določitev presečne ravnine, orientacijske ravnine, zbirne ravnine, smernega elementa.

This document (EN ISO 4351:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 213
"Dimensional and geometrical product specifications and verification" in collaboration with Technical
Committee CEN/TC 290 “Dimensional and geometrical product specification and verification” the
secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2024, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
Any feedback and questions on this document should be directed to the users’ national standards
body/national committee. A complete listing of these bodies can be found on the CEN website.
